🌿I use Ladybugs Lashes 'Flutter and Frame Express Cysteamine' system, a highly respected professional UK lash brand known for its gentle formula, which is free from thioglycolates and ammonia. This advanced system lifts lashes effectively while preserving the integrity and health of your natural lashes. Ladybug’s products are cruelty-free, vegan-friendly, kind to sensitive eyes, and developed with lash safety in mind.

For the tinting process, I use Bronsun®, a professional-grade dye renowned for its long-lasting, ammonia-free, and gentle formula. Enriched with nourishing ingredients like hydrolyzed keratin, silk, and vitamin E, Bronsun® not only delivers vibrant, lasting colour but also helps to strengthen and protect your lashes during the treatment. It's a trusted choice among professionals for its effectiveness and commitment to lash health.

Why I Love Offering Lash Lift & Tint

PATCH TEST REQUIRED

For your safety, a patch test is required at least 24–48 hours prior to your first Lash Lift & Tint appointment. This quick test ensures your skin won’t react to the products used, so we can move forward with total peace of mind. A patch test kit will be sent via post once treatment has been booked.

Cysteamine is a modern, gentler alternative to traditional thioglycolate (TGA) for lash lifts and brow laminations, offering a safer, less damaging, and low-odor, amino-acid-based formula. While thioglycolate works quickly for coarse hair, it carries a higher risk of overprocessing, skin irritation, and has a strong smell. Cysteamine is superior for sensitive clients but requires longer processing times.

In simple terms, cysteamine is the active ingredient used instead of traditional perm solutions, helping lashes and brows take on a lifted, defined shape while supporting strength with nourishing ingredients.

• Gentleness & Safety: Cysteamine has a lower pH and is less likely to cause irritation or dehydration compared to TGA. It strengthens hair structure rather than just breaking it down.

• Processing Time: TGA works fast (approx. 4–12 minutes), while Cysteamine is slower, allowing for better control and reduced risk of overprocessing.

• Application: Cysteamine products can often be applied closer to the root or, in some cases, the full lash, whereas TGA should be kept 1–2mm from the tips to avoid damage.

• Odor: TGA has a strong "perm" smell, while Cysteamine usually has little to no odor.
