Why We Use the Polaris 1064 ND YAG

At Laser & Spa, we believe in delivering results without compromising safety — which is why we’ve invested in the Polaris 1064 ND YAG, one of the most advanced and trusted lasers available.

Many machines claim to treat “all skin tones,” but most devices that offer multiple wavelengths — such as diode lasers with built-in ND:YAG modes — are still fundamentally diode-based. They lack the depth and safety needed to treat deeper skin tones without risk. These shortcuts can increase the chance of pigmentation, burns, and scarring.

The Polaris uses a 1064nm wavelength, the longest and safest currently available for hair removal. This allows the laser to bypass the melanin-rich surface of the skin better and target the hair follicle directly — making it significantly safer for darker skin tones and less likely to cause irritation or complications.
